Our Practice
SEEING MY PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN: Every effort is made to schedule your child with their primary care physician. However, there may be times when we are unable to accommodate your request such as after regular office hours, on weekends and holidays when only one physician is available. At all times your child will see a competent and qualified physician
or provider. All of our physicians are either Fellows in the American Academy of Pediatrics, or are in the process of achieving this designation.
BI-LINGUAL SUPPORT SERVICES: We have a number of staff who speak Spanish. If you need help please let us know and we will make every effort to ensure our staff are available to help you.
PRESCRIPTIONS: Refills for many prescriptions can be done over the phone. When you have a prescription that needs to be refilled, call your pharmacy or our office at 362-2481 and choose option 3. You will be transferred to our prescription refill voice mail line. A message will instruct you on what information to leave. Please note: we REQUIRE 48 HOURS to REFILL ALL prescriptions. Please do not wait to the last minute to have your prescription refilled.
REFERRALS: When you are referred to another physician for care, our staff will obtain the authorization from your insurance company as necessary. Completing all paperwork associated with a referral and processing can sometimes take a week to 10 days, so please be patient. If you choose to see a specialist without first setting up a referral, your visit to the specialist may not be covered by your
insurance company. This includes use of the Emergency Room for non-emergent care.
LEAVING THE PRACTICE: It is our policy to provide care up to the age of 21, or until your child graduates from college. Exceptions to this policy need physician approval.
TERMINATION: Our office reserves the right to terminate care. Some of the reasons we have had to terminate care in the past include: failure to pay your bill, failure to keep or cancel appointments ahead of time, or non-compliance with the physicians’ prescribed course of treatment.
