Check-In Procedures
TELEPHONE CALLS: Our staff make every effort to provide excellent telephone service to our patients. There are times however, when phone volume is exceedingly high. For your own convenience, you may want to consider calling our office after 10am for non-urgent advice. This way we will be better able to serve you.
APPOINTMENTS: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit. If for any reason you are unable to keep your appointment, please give us 24 hours notice. This way we can use your time slot for someone with urgent care needs. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, you may be asked to reschedule that appointment. If you are repeatedly late for appointments, or repeatedly fail to show up, without calling in advance to notify us that you will be unable to keep the appointment, we may not be able to continue to provide care to your children.
FEES AND INSURANCE BILLING: Our fees are based on the complexity of your child's diagnosis and their case management needs. We use national guidelines to gauge complexity. The more complex the issues involved, the greater the charge. Our fees are similar to fees charged for the same services throughout the Salem area. We do consider the patient primarily responsible for their account. However, as a service to you, we will submit charges to your insurance company. Any unpaid balance on your account would be your responsibility. You will be required to sign our financial policy annually. All co-pays are due at the time of service.
MEDICAL CARDS: Patients with Medical Cards must bring them each time you come to the office. This includes both the large green and white sheet that verifies that you are covered, and the small cards that indicate who your primary care physician is. The current card is required.
